The Office of Student Services is dedicated to supporting the academic success, well-being, and personal growth of every student in our district. We believe that when students feel safe, supported, and valued, they are better prepared to learn, achieve, and thrive. Our team works collaboratively with families, educators, and community partners to ensure that all students have equitable access to the resources and services they need.
Special Education
We provide comprehensive Special Education services for students with identified disabilities, ensuring individualized supports through the development and implementation of high-quality Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Our goal is to meet students where they are and provide specialized instruction, related services, and accommodations that promote meaningful progress in the least restrictive environment.
Section 504
Through Section 504 plans, we ensure that students with disabilities have equal access to educational opportunities. Accommodations and supports are designed to remove barriers to learning and participation in school programs and activities, helping every student reach their full potential.
English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)
Our ESOL program supports multilingual learners in developing English language proficiency while accessing rigorous academic content. We value linguistic and cultural diversity and are committed to fostering inclusive learning environments where all students can succeed.
Behavioral Health and Counseling
Student mental health and emotional well-being are essential to academic success. Our school counselors, psychologists, social workers, and behavioral health professionals provide a range of services, including individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, prevention programming, and connections to community resources.
Social Emotional Learning (SEL)
Through Social Emotional Learning initiatives, we help students build essential life skills such as self-awareness, self-management, responsible decision-making, relationship skills, and social awareness. SEL is integrated into classroom instruction and school culture to support positive relationships and a safe, respectful learning environment.
Parent and Family Engagement
We recognize families as vital partners in education. The Office of Student Services promotes strong home-school connections by providing resources and opportunities for meaningful involvement in school decision-making and student support processes.
Health and Wellness Supports
Healthy students are better learners. Our district provides school health services, wellness education, and coordinated supports to address students’ physical health needs. We collaborate with families and community agencies to ensure students have access to the care and resources necessary for overall well-being.
The SAU21 Office of Student Services is committed to removing barriers, promoting equity, and empowering every student to succeed—academically, socially, and emotionally. We are proud to partner with our district communities to create supportive environments where all students can thrive.
